2. Platform Description

MCFreelance is a marketplace connecting clients seeking Minecraft-related services with freelancers offering such services. We facilitate communication and transactions but are not a party to any agreements between clients and freelancers. However, all payments are processed through our platform to ensure security and proper dispute resolution.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Platform, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Ensuring your account information is accurate and up to date
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Providing accurate PayPal email information for payment processing

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any illegal purposes
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Submit false or misleading information
  • Attempt to circumvent payment systems or avoid platform fees
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform

5. Freelancer Services

Freelancers offering services through the Platform:

  • Must accurately represent their skills and experience
  • Are responsible for delivering agreed-upon services
  • Must comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Must provide a valid PayPal email address for receiving payments
  • Agree to platform commission and fee structures
  • Retain ownership of their work until payment is confirmed

6. Client Responsibilities

Clients using the Platform:

  • Must pay for services as agreed with freelancers, including applicable platform fees
  • Should provide clear project requirements
  • Must respect freelancer intellectual property
  • Should respond to freelancer communications in a timely manner
  • Agree to all payments being processed and held by MCFreelance until project completion

7. Payments and Fees

All payments for commissions on MCFreelance are processed securely through our platform via PayPal. By initiating or accepting a commission, both clients and freelancers agree to our fee structure.

Client Payments: When a client accepts a freelancer's proposal or agrees to an invoice, the full project amount plus a 5% service fee will be collected from the client by MCFreelance. This collected amount will be held by MCFreelance during the project's duration.

Example: If a freelancer quotes $100 for a project, the client will pay $105 (the $100 project cost plus a $5 service fee). From the $100 project cost, MCFreelance will retain a 5% platform commission ($5), and the freelancer will receive $95 upon project completion.

Freelancer Earnings: Upon successful completion of a project and confirmation by the client, MCFreelance will deduct a 5% platform commission from the agreed project value and release the remaining net earnings (95% of the agreed project cost) to the freelancer's available balance.

Freelancer Payouts: Freelancers can request to cash out their available earnings at any time, provided their balance meets the minimum payout threshold of $5.00. Payouts will be processed exclusively via PayPal to the PayPal email address provided in the freelancer's profile. Processing times may vary depending on PayPal's processing schedule, typically 1-3 business days.

Platform-Held Funds: All client payments are held by MCFreelance in a secure account until project completion or dispute resolution. This escrow-like system protects both parties and ensures fair outcomes in case of disputes.

8. Refunds and Disputes

Refund policies are primarily determined by the individual agreements between clients and freelancers. However, all funds for active commissions are held by MCFreelance until project completion or dispute resolution. Our dedicated Quality Assurance and Support teams are available to mediate disputes.

In the event of a dispute, MCFreelance will investigate the matter thoroughly, reviewing all communication, deliverables, and project details. Based on our findings, MCFreelance reserves the right to make a final decision regarding the distribution of held funds, which may include:

  • Partial or full refunds to the client
  • Release of full or partial funds to the freelancer
  • Division of funds based on work completed and verified

MCFreelance will not be liable for any losses incurred due to dispute outcomes. Both parties agree to accept the platform's dispute resolution decision as final.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including logos, design, and text, is owned by MCFreelance. Freelancers retain rights to their work unless otherwise agreed with clients. Clients receive usage rights as specified in their agreements with freelancers.

10. Limitation of Liability

MCFreelance is not liable for disputes between clients and freelancers, the quality of services provided by freelancers, any damages arising from use of the Platform, or loss of data or profits. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount of fees paid to MCFreelance in the transaction in question.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, attempt to circumvent platform fees, or harm the Platform or its users. Users may close their accounts at any time, subject to outstanding obligations and pending transactions.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or platform notification.

13. Contact Information
